About the event

Galwad Gwrach is a remembering of Mari Berllan Pitter, the witch who lived on the River Arth. A calling to those who have heard her name and felt something stir.

Working with sound archives and folk memory, I’ve been tracing Mari’s path, piecing together fragments of her magic so her story can be heard and felt again.

Through storytelling, sound, and connection to the land, we will dream her folklore back into the present.

This is a moment to honour the history of women deeply connected to the land in Ceredigion. A space to respond to the Hiraeth that guides us back to the stories that will carry us forward.

Sound Journey: A guided meditation into the deep folklore and myth of Mari

Storytelling: Mari’s story reimagined from local memory and sound archives
